Welding System - Kemwelder V4

Rapid and reliable repairs in tool making and mould building

This welder is designed for mould and dye repair and this can help save you time and money by keeping mould repair in-house instead of sending out for service. It's very easy to use and nearly anyone can begin welding within a very short period of time. It's also mobile, so you can transport this around your company and weld any mould size, large or small and it utilises very little heat so you don't have to worry about heat distortion that you get from traditional TIG welders.

The welder works by gently touching the spot of the welding point with the electrode tip. After 2 seconds, the control unit triggers welding, at the same time, an electromagnet draws the electrode back. You then precisely position the electrode for subsequent points which can then be triggered every second. For safety, the shutter of the microscope closes with each weld.

welding system for toolmakers

The KemWelder V4 represents a genuine leap forward in micro-welding technology for tool and mould making. At its core, the machine delivers an impressive 1,200A of TIG amperage — a 66% increase over its predecessor meaning it handles welding wires up to 1mm in diameter with complete confidence. A single press-and-turn button controls everything, and the modern LCD display lets you select your material (steel, aluminium, brass, bronze, or copper) and weld type in seconds. Three selectable welding speeds of up to 3.2Hz mean you can move at a pace that suits both the job and your skill level.

What truly sets the KemWelder V4 apart is its intelligent handpiece and smart software working in tandem. The lightweight, ergonomic handpiece uses an electromagnetic system to draw the electrode back during each weld, while the built-in software actively monitors every pulse — interrupting the weld if excess pressure is detected. This protects both the electrode tip and the workpiece, virtually eliminating tungsten inclusions on sensitive surfaces and dramatically improving consistency across a session. The result is fewer errors, less rework, and a far more reliable finished product.

  • 1,200A amperage — welds wires up to 1mm Ø without issue Single-button control — press and turn, nothing more
  • Smart fault prevention — software interrupts welds if electrode pressure is too high
  • 3 welding speeds — up to 3.2Hz via the speed function
  • 5 material presets — steel, aluminium, brass, bronze, copper
  • 10x microscope included — with eye-safe LCD filter, LED lighting and hydraulic arm
  • Fully mobile — robust carry handles and optional trolley for shop-floor repairs
  • Product code for Kemwelder V4: 339237

The included 10x stereo welding microscope completes the package beautifully. With three-stage LED lighting, a hydraulic swivel arm, a powerful 1,200N switching magnet, and an LCD filter that closes in milliseconds during each weld to protect your eyes, it turns precision repair work into a controlled, comfortable process. The 2.5m handpiece cable pairs perfectly with the optional mobile welding trolley, letting you wheel the entire setup directly to a machine for on-the-spot mould repair without disruption.

Welding rods for the Kemwelder

Only the right welding rods will ensure good results. You will get good results if the composition of the welding rod corresponds to your material. The rods are 333 mm long with a minimum weight of 100 grams. Coils available on request. Please contact us if you do not find the right rod for your application. Wires with a diameter of 0.8 mm welds the Kemwelder without any problems, and with good conditions even up to 1 mm.

Welding fumes extractor and filter

The advantages of working in an environment free of welding fumes and dust are significant. During welding operations, especially prolonged ones, the reliable extraction of welding fumes is crucial. Similarly, fine dust generated during grinding and other related activities should also be extracted to prevent inhalation of these substances. We have been diligently searching for a highly capable, efficient, and portable extraction solution, and we are pleased to introduce the Extractor III. This innovative device offers an impressively quiet and effective means of extracting fumes and dust, all at a remarkably affordable price. The Extractor III incorporates a brushless suction motor, which sets it apart from conventional extraction systems. This motor operates silently and boasts a remarkably long lifespan, contributing to the device's exceptional performance and reliability.
